Landing Page Design
At its most basic level, a landing page is any web page that a visitor can arrive at or “land” on. However, when discussing landing pages as a concept of marketing, it’s more common to refer to a landing page as being a standalone web page distinct from your main website, designed for a single focused objective and meant to encourage a single specific action.
In practice, this means that your landing page should have no global navigation to tie it to your primary website. By following this simple design principle, a good landing page is able to limit the options available to your visitors, effectively helping to guide them toward your intended conversion goal.
If you already have a completed website, and would like to create targeted pages for your specific marketing goals, the design and marketing teams at Oxford Pierpont can help you get started.
At Oxford Pierpont, landing page design starts with a short consultation to determine what your end goals are for the page being created. We ask what the topic of the page should be, who the target audience is, and what specific action you expect that audience to take when they reach your landing page. With this information, our teams are able to develop landing pages that convert visitors into customers in a way that is in line with your business goals.
Once we have a clear understanding of your expectations, our teams will begin the design process. At this stage, only the aesthetic framework of the page is established, and the page elements are placed for images and written content to be included later.
3. Keyword Research
The most important part of the process is the keyword research stage. For this, we take the subjects you mentioned during the initial consultation, and research them against Google’s Keyword Planner. By taking this extra step, we are able to ensure that your landing page includes the information being queried by your target audience, and boosting the overall ranking of the page in organic searches.
Once your landing page has been designed, researched, and developed, the final step is delivery. Once the design process has begun, the finished landing page will be delivered within 24 hours. If you are purchasing more than one landing page at once, the additional pages may also be completed within the 24 hour window, but can take up to one day each if the design is significantly different than the first page.
